A warm welcome to our newly revamped parish website. The website gives a glimpse into the truly great community spirit and life, which is Kingscourt.
Our wonderful parish is a place filled with people of great heart; a vibrant and living place in the sunny south east of Cavan in the province of Ulster.
Our parish is blessed with countless volunteers who play an active part in the life and development of our parish. Our Parish Finance Committee attends to the material needs of a growing place with vision and commitment. Our Parish Pastoral Planning Team is a busy working group, ensuring pastoral outreach to all, along with creative and prayerful liturgies. We are blessed in our Baptismal teams, our Bethany Bereavement Support team, our Parish Safeguarding team, our Covid -19 team, members of the active Saint Vincent de Paul, co-ordinators and Ministers of Word and Holy Communion, along with a great team of Youth readers. The importance of weekly Eucharistic Adoration in the parish is promoted by our Adoration committee. Our parish is enhanced by all our choirs, musicians, organists, cantors, stewards, cleaners, flower arranging teams and those who prepare our churches and linens to such exceptionally high standards. Our parish has wonderfully committed sacristan teams and equally dedicated Mass serving teams.
Our parish is served by four Catholic schools. The Chairpersons of our boards are assisted by volunteer board members who give generously of their valuable time, talent and expertise in the further development and support of primary education in this community.
Our parish is at the forefront of technology with a newly installed state- of- the art webcam facilities, allowing parishioners at home and abroad to connect with all the liturgies celebrated in Kingscourt. In addition, our parish website has been refreshed and revamped. The daily followers on social media through facebook, twitter and instagram continues to grow.
The leadership of all involved in the many cultural, community, sporting and voluntary bodies is phenomenal.
