Our parish community were very generous in their response to a recent humanitarian appeal for the Holy Land in the parish. Over €9000 was donated at Sunday Masses last weekend in our parish for the people of The Holy Land. The finances have been forwarded in your name with €2000 to the Hogar Nino Dios orphanage for children and young adults with additional special needs in Bethlehem, run by the Sisters of the Incarnate Word, a further €2000 for St. Catherine’s Parish in Bethlehem – the church of the Nativity of the Lord – and the remainder to Fr. Gabriel in Holy Family parish in Gaza. This will support the parishes and the sisters as they assist families and those with special needs in these difficult times for all in The Holy Land. Let all of us earnestly pray for peace in that land this Christmas.
