Registration is now open for a new, free Biodiversity Training Programme which will take place in Dun Na Rí Forest Park.
Cavan County Local Development has partnered with SECAD Partnership CLG and West Limerick Resources to bring the award-winning Wild Work initiative to Kingscourt.
No previous experience required to take part.
Learn about nature…out in nature
The Wild Work training programme has been specially developed by ecology experts and will include:
- Biodiversity training delivered over 12 weeks, linked to the landscape and biodiversity features.
Topics covered:
o The importance of biodiversity for well-being.
o Biodiversity-friendly habitat management practices for meadows, woodlands and streams.
o The role of citizen science monitoring.
o How the Wild Work Framework will function to support biodiversity action into the future.
- Wild Work in Action training on seed saving.
- Development of a Wild Work Toolkit that will contain an exciting range of activities to support the learning based on the local area.
