Our parish celebrated Catholic Schools Sunday this past weekend. We were delighted so many families were able to join remotely by webcam and facebook for this Mass. We acknowledged the wonderful work of our school chairpersons and their volunteer boards of management, the principals, extended school staff, parent body and pupils, especially in these challenging times of pandemic. In our Mass we celebrated the important contributions grandparents make in the lives of their grandchildren and families as strong pillars of gospel faith, guardians of noble ideals and living treasuries of sound religious traditions.
May our four Catholic schools of St. Joseph’s Kingscourt, Carrickleck, Corlea and Laragh Muff continue to be great places of faith learning, love , resilience and hope.
We acknowledge the grandparents poem composed by Brenda Drumm of the Catholic Bishops Conference which was used at THIS Mass.
