All of our parishioners received a copy of the Icon of The Holy Family at Masses this Christmas. The Icon was also accompanied by a prayer card which we encourage you to pray each day in your homes in preparation for The World Meeting of Families and the probable visit of Pope Francis. The icon was written by Mihai Cucu . On the outside doors, the Archangels Gabriel and Michael carry with them the desire to protect. Their heads are bowed low in adoration and in service of God. The inscription in Latin on the base translates as the Joy of Love. In the centre are the family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph, seated at the table and sharing a meal and their faith. On either side of the Holy Family are two gospel stories of the Raising of the daughter of Jairus and the Wedding Feast of Cana.
