Our Parish Pilgrimage Trip 2017 in association with MAP Travel took place last week. During our trip we stayed at The Grand Hotel Royal in the wonderful town of Viareggio. Highlights of the visit included visits to Lucca, Pisa, Torre del Largo, Florence, Portovenere, Cinque Terre, a wonderful Puccini concert in Lucca along with time to enjoy the area and the local markets. In addition, Masses in Portovenere, Pisa, Lucca at the shrine of Saint Frediano, (Finian) a Bishop and Saint of the 6th century from Ireland, and in Viareggio in the beautiful churches. Our 2018 trip is now in it’s planning stage and further details shortly! Thanks to all at MAP Travel for their usual great standard of service and to the wonderful staff in our hotel for their first class attention.
