On Saturday last on the feast day of Our Lady of Fatima during our special Mass to celebrate the centenary of the apparitions, we were delighted to welcome Lena McMahon, Mary T. Carolan, Seamus Watters, Mary Kelly and Peg O’Hagan, representing her late Mother, who were original members of the Legion of Mary in Kingscourt. Among the gifts presented at Mass, were the Legion handbook, the Legion attendance book, a statue of Our Lady of Fatima and specially prepared prayer cards for the families of the parish.
Following Mass, the congregation joined at The Fatima Grotto which was erected by Very Rev. Michael Marry, in 1947, in some prayer, the rosary and hymns.
