We came as a Pilgrim People from every townland in the parish, from all over the country and beyond to our Annual Cemetery Mass and Blessing of the Graves. We gathered, side by side as a faith community, mindful we do not grieve alone. The support and the solidarity of others is a source of comfort and consolation in the journey of bereavement and loss.
A sincere word of thanks to all who planned, prepared and participated on this great occasion. To Tommy, Joseph and Jason for providing sound, to Gavin and our choir, to June and all our Ministers of Holy Communion, to all our readers and young people who led us in prayer, to our
servers, sincere thanks. Thanks to Patrick McDonald, Majella Kelly and the team of dedicated stewards, to Kingscourt Gardai for the traffic management, to O’Gorman’s SuperValu, Paddy McCabe Gragaes, McKenna Engineering, and Shekletons for providing additional car parking, to
Colm Kieran for providing the canopy. A special word of thanks to PJ, Mary, Ann, and Mary for all the work from the sacristy. Thanks to Darak for all his work at the cemetery and to each family for carefully attending the places of rest of our beloved dead. We entrust all our departed faithful to the Risen Lord.
God willing we gather again on Sunday 1st August 2027.
