Over the past seven months extensive works have been carried on at our cemetery in the parish. This past weekend the new cemetery extension has been blessed. Our Parish Finance Committee is very grateful for the support of all parishioners which facilitated this necessary works.
Thanks to Ciaran Boylan, Chairperson and the members of the Finance Committee who oversaw the project. Thanks to Niall Smith and Vincent Galligan of Smith & Associates, Architects, Kingscourt who devised a master plan for our cemetery, to Eugene Hughes and his team who carried out the comprehensive work, and to Colm Kieran, John Tully, John McKeon, and John Vaughan who were instrumental in various aspects of the project. May our newly consecrated resting place give us the consolation of hope in the resurrection.
