Holy Week in Our Parish 2026

Palm Sunday:
- Palms will be blessed and supplied to families at all our Masses.
Tuesday of Holy Week:
- Our final Lenten Novena takes place in Kingscourt on Tuesday at 7p.m.
Spy Wednesday:
Fr. Gerry will bring Holy Communion to the sick and housebound.
- The Lenten Penance Service and Novena in Honour of Our Lady of Perpetual Help will take place at St. Brigid’s Church, Meath Hill, at 7.30p.m. and all are welcome.
- The Mass of Chrism will take place at The Cathedral of Christ the King, Mullingar.
Holy Thursday:
- Evening Mass of the Lords Supper at 7.00p.m. followed by the Procession to the Altar of Repose with concluding Night Prayer at 9.30p.m.
ALL MINISTERS OF HOLY COMMUNION CURRENTLY SERVING IN THE PARISH AT OUR THREE CHURCHES ARE KINDLY REQUESTED TO ATTEND AT THIS HOLY THURSDAY MASS FOR A RENEWAL OF COMMITMENT AND SERVICE.
WE ALSO WELCOME OUR FIRST HOLY COMMUNION CLASSES AND THEIR FAMILIES TO THIS HOLY THURSDAY MASS AS PREPARATION FOR FIRST HOLY COMMUNION.
At the request of Pope Leo, in his first Holy Week, there will be a Special Collection for the Poor and Marginalised on Holy Thursday.
Good Friday:
Please wear Red on Good Friday.
- Stations of the Cross in Corlea at 10a.m.
- Stations of the Cross in Muff at 11a.m.
- Ecumenical Walk of Witness commencing from the Church of the Immaculate Conception at 12noon.
- Solemn Liturgy of the Lord’s Passion with dramatization of the Gospel and Veneration of the Cross at 7.00p.m.
- A Special Collection will take place for the Suffering Christian people of the Holy Land.
Holy Saturday:
- Easter Vigil in Kingscourt.
We welcome our Confirmation pupils and their families at the Easter Vigil.
Easter Sunday:
- Easter Sunday Dawn Family Mass at 6.00a.m. at The Mass Rock on the Lough an Leagh.
- Easter Sunday Mass in Corlea at 9a.m.
- Easter Sunday Masses in Kingscourt at 10.30a.m. and 12noon.
TROCAIRE 2026:
You are kindly requested to return your TROCAIRE boxes to Kingscourt Church on Holy Thursday. Alternatively, you can use the special TROCAIRE ENVELOPE from your planned giving boxes. It is of great assistance if you could convert your coins to notes!
Easter Offerings:
Easter Sunday is an Offering Day in support of your priests.
