It was such a joy to welcome hundreds of families and people from the parish, other parts of the county, country and abroad who joined at the annual Easter Sunday Dawn Mass at The Mass Rock on the Lough an Leagh in this Jubilee Year of Hope. We gathered in this Cathedral of Creation as our fore fathers and mothers did in generations past to give witness to their Easter Faith in the Resurrection.
Thank you to all who were involved in its preparation, to the hardworking Lough an Leagh Heritage Committee who maintain and improve this sacred site, to the landowners, Padraig,Kevin and Andrew. Thanks to the choir who led us is sweet song, our servers and all who participated in the liturgy. Thank you to Colm Kieran for providing the canopy, to Clifford, Joe and Jason for providing the sound system. Thank you in a very special way to Una and Tommy Hughes and their team who provided breakfast for all who gathered. A special word of thanks to Miriam Irwin and Church Street Cafe who sourced, supplied and generously sponsored The Dawn breakfast. With God’s help we will gather on April 6th, Easter Sunday 2026 for the new Dawn Mass. Christ is Risen, He is Risen indeed, Alleluia!
