Our parish community gathered in prayerful support at our weekend Masses in remembrance of all who have died in our parish this past year. In particular we prayed for the 38 families who mourn the death of a loved one even more poignantly in these November days. We held a special Mass on Sunday for all families who lost a child in the early months of pregnancy, through miscarriage, at birth, in a cot death, early infancy or childhood.
May all our bereaved experience God’s comfort and consolation and may our beloved dead rest in the gentle embrace of the Lord eternally.
Thanks to our Parish Pastoral Planning Team, our Bethany Bereavement Support Team, Colm and Jonathon our local funeral directors, Derek and our choir and all who planned and prepared our prayer space and ceremony.
