The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity takes place from 18th-25 January. For 2021, it has been prepared by the Monastic Community of Grandchamp in Switzerland. The theme that was chosen, “Abide in my love and you shall bear much fruit”, is based on John 15:1-17 and expresses Grandchamp Community’s vocation to prayer, reconciliation and unity in the Church and the human family.
We are blessed in our parish with a unique relationship among the parishioners in our community of Kingscourt. We are blessed with strong bonds among our three churches of Ervey Presbyterian Church, Saint Ernan’s Church of Ireland and the Church of the Immaculate Conception.
While it is not possible to gather as a community , a special service has been prepared and will be broadcast on the kingscourtparish facebook page on Wednesday next, January 20th at 7p.m. We cordially invite all parishioners to log in for this short service of prayer, music and reflection.
