Today’s feast of Our Lady of Fatima is beautifully captured in our Evie Hone stained glass window in the Lady Chapel of our Church of the Immaculate Conception. It was commissioned by the late Very Rev. Fr. Michael Marry, former Parish Priest of Kingscourt in 1947, requesting that the artist would design a window depicting scenes from the Apparition of Our Lady of Fatima in 1917. The window is made of three panels, the apparition of Our Lady to the Three Children, the apparition of the revolving suns and the
apparition of Our Lady to Lucia. Also in our Church grounds lies the Fatima Shrine which was also developed, with a gift of a Sicilian marble statue of Our Lady, a gift of a parishioner.
