Families from the four corners of the land and abroad gathered in prayerful support and solidarity, shoulder to shoulder with friends, family and neighbours for the Annual Cemetery Mass and Blessing of the Graves. Thanks to all who were involved in the ceremony and preparing for it. Thanks to PJ and the sacristan team, to Garda Jimmy McGovern and the Gardai, to Thomas O’Rourke and the Civil Defence, our stewards and collectors, to Colm Kieran and Kieran Funeral Care for providing the Canopy, to Tommy Gargan and Joseph O’Reilly for providing sound and amplification, to Gavin O’Reilly and Kingscourt Folk Choir, to our altar servers and to all who assisted in any way. We commend the efforts of everyone who had their own family plots looking so well. We again encourage everybody to bring home all waste from the cemetery. We again request that people refrain from walking their dogs in the cemetery as it causes offence to the living and is disrespectful to our dead.
