Kingscourt Parish was the first parish in Ireland to host the Easter Sunday Dawn Mass this year at 5.55a.m. as the daylight of the Easter day dawned at The Mass Rock at Lough an Laegh. Hundreds gathered with parishioners and visitors from other parts of Ireland, U.K, United States and Poland where our ancestors had previously gathered in former times to give witness to their Easter Faith that Christ is Risen, Alleluia! Thanks to Una and her team who cooked breakfast for everyone. Thanks to Pat Faulkner Butchers, Kingscourt and O’Gorman SuperValu who supplied the rashers, sausages and rolls. Thanks to Tommy Gargan for our sound supply. Thanks to the Choir who were in full voice as a dawn chorus! Thanks to all who prepared and set up and to Com Kieran and Eugene Hughes for their assistance.
