Kingscourt parish hosted the Irish Bishops Response to Substance Abuse at the Parish Centre. It was conducted by Darren Butler from the Irish Bishops, Gwen McKenna from the North East Parents Support Group, Mary Flood, Counsellor and family therapist, Seamus Horan, Garda Liaison Officer, and newly appointed local Garda Jimmy McGovern.
